St. Mary’s University (SMU) is proud to be an active member of the MaDE-for-UASs consortium, contributing to the advancement of modern and practice-oriented higher education in Ethiopia.
As part of the 6th General Assembly on September 2, 2026, consortium members visited the NOI Techpark and Faculty of Engineering at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy, exploring innovative facilities in smart manufacturing, AI and machine vision, Extended Reality (XR), human-computer interaction, and intelligent technologies.
The visit offered valuable insights into how advanced technologies and applied learning environments can support the development of Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) and strengthen teaching and training capacity.
